It’s official – NBA 2K22 is coming out on Friday, September 10th for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Google Stadia. There’s no word yet on whether this means we can expect an earlier than usual demo release, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more. Usually, they come out in late October or early November, but it looks like 2K is looking to get a jump on the competition this time around. Interestingly, this is also the earliest in the year that an NBA 2K game has ever been released. Normally, publisher 2K Games waits until much closer to launch to share a date, so the fact that we know NBA 2K22 is coming out in September is a pretty big deal. This will mark the first time in the history of the NBA 2K franchise that a release date has been announced this far in advance. The news was first announced during a special Livestream event on May 24, which also saw the reveal of the game’s cover star: Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans. It’s official: NBA 2K22 will release on September 7, 2021.
